After seeing what our elementary student ministry is doing on Wednesday nights at New Friendship, we thought to ourselves, why are we not doing what we are asking them to do. During Wednesday nights, the students go through Awana, and study the Word. They seek to memorize Scripture, not only for a prize, but for the Word to be written on their hearts. So, Meghan and I have began memorizing Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount found in the gospel according to Matthew. We desire for the Word to be on and in our hearts. What would the world be like if believers started and stayed in the Word, more than just the 30 minutes or so on Sunday mornings, when a preacher is preaching?
May we hold fast to the Word of God!
